Worms in My Hair Nightmare - EXAMINE WHAT BUGS YOU DREAM MESSAGE
Worms in My Hair Nightmare
I was in the bathtub washing my hair; my husband was helping me to rinse it. I was face down in the bathtub with water running over the back of my head, when worms of many colors and sizes began running into the bottom of the tub along with the water. My husband and I try to get the worms out of my hair but there were too many.
I try to go about my daily activities, the worms continue to crawl through my hair. I can feel them and am concerned others can see them. I go into a restaurant where my staff are seated and sit with a colleague (not staff). I have a plate of spaghetti in front of me and see a thick worm moving on my plate. The waitress was there, so I placed noodles on the worm to hide it.
I was concerned with how to get the worms out of my hair. I felt I would either ruin my hair with pesticides or would have to shave my head. I could not get them out!
It felt gross. I did not want people to see them.
Main Life Issues:
Something horrible clings and someone cannot get rid of it.
Bathtub: Place to come clean; cleansing, starting fresh.
In your hair: What comes out of one’s head as a metaphor for reactions, thoughts and attitudes.
Worms in hair: Something yukky that is out of place and creates horrible effects and reactions.
Washing hair: Trying to come clean; a need to clean up attitudes, reactions and thoughts.
Cover up worm in spaghetti: Trying to hide something shameful and negative that is becoming obvious.
Could not get worms out: A need to fix a drastic situation but not knowing how; hence, a need to call in an expert, get help.
What the dream Means:
Getting something out of one’s hair is a metaphor for eliminating what bothers, angers or annoys you. What comes out of your head are thoughts, attitudes, reactions and feelings. The dream suggests a situation is creating reactions, attitudes or thoughts that are not good for you, and needs to be cleared. Examine “what bugs you” in your life and whether you are reacting appropriately, overreacting or or being negative.
Bottom Line: EXAMINE WHAT BUGS YOU. The dream sounds like a warning about a need for an attitude adjustment issue. It may mirror negative reactions, attitudes or annoyances you deal with, or may relate to your secrets or secret fears. Since it feels as if you can't deal with it yourself, the dream hints it may take a professional to help turn the negative thoughts and attitudes around.
