Tree With Ghost Nightmare
Tree With Ghost
I dreamed of a tree with a ghost hanging in it as I plucked some strawberries from the tree. In the second scene a witch comes my way with rage. I am afraid then stand firmly and think, "If she isn’t afraid of me, why should I be afraid of her? I’ll talk to her." Then I saw my self with a swollen face due to some brain surgery because of a brain wound, but I was able to walk and went to a university class. My teacher sees me and says, "Why did you come today, you just had neurosurgery yesterday?"
Depressed, which is how I feel nowadays.
Main Life Issues:
Facing a break up with fiancé because of his mother.
Someone feels overwhelmed when change is forced on them.
Ghosts: Leftovers from the past.
Witch: Someone who does wicked things as an image of what fiancé’s mother feels like.
I stand up to witch: Dealing with obstacles; seeing realizing there is nothing to fear.
Swollen face: Face gets red after tears; an image of your grief and sadness about the break up.
Brain surgery: A fix to the brain as a metaphor of changes in thinking and attitude.
Go to class: Facing life's lessons; accepting what is.
What the dream Means:
As a metaphor, the ghost tells you not to stay stuck in the past. The brain surgery suggests that you accept what is going on and change your attitudes by moving forward instead of focusing on the past. On the other hand, the teacher’s words at the end tells you to give yourself time to heal from the pain.
Bottom Line: The dream is a mirror of recent events and shows your courage in moving forward and getting on with your life.
