A Wound With Pus and Blood
A Wound That Will Not Heal
In real life, my husband and I live abroad in his home country.
In my dream, we fly back to my home town for a visit. While we are there, I develop an abscess on the right side of my abdomen that oozes pus and blood nonstop. I keep trying to push the sides together to make it stay shut and stop oozing, but nothing works. My husband drives me to the doctor's office, but I have forgotten my healthcare card in the country where we live. So we drive to another doctor to see if another doctor will sew it up without the health card. Meanwhile, the abscess keeps leaking blood and pus. When we arrive at the second doctor's office, I sit and wait while my husband looks at the pamphlets on the wall. The receptionist beckons him to come over to her and they have a whispered conversation while glancing over at me. Then I wake up.
Main Life Issues:
New job, not using education, not performing to full potential.
The odds are stacked against someone who is trying to resolve a serious matter, which leaves them anxious.
A wound: A medical condition or feelings, situation that needs help.
An open wound: Something that needs closure.
Husband: Actual person or in a woman’s dream, can represent the woman’s strengths and the strong part of herself.
Oozing non-stop: An on-going condition, pain you continue to feel.
Doctor’s office: A consultant who can help; seeking help.
No health card: Missing a legal connection, missing a requirement.
Pus and blood: Something that has festered suggesting that the origin of the problem is not recent.
Whispering: Withholding information, not being open with someone, keeping secrets.
What the dream Means:
Some dreams mirror how life feels. This dream suggests life feels challenging and painful because things are not coming together as you would like them to or need them to. The lack of a health card suggests a legal or social aspect that is lacking. For example, as a resident of a new country, there may be language, social or legal barriers to overcome before you find acceptance and an ideal job.
The wound that will not heal suggests that the problem has been going on for a long time, so it may also be an emotional issue or a trauma with roots in childhood (visiting your home town). If that is the case, the dream suggests a serious pain from the past needs to be healed, so that your life can move forward without barriers.
The whispered conversations hint that you may be keeping secrets from your husband, and if so, that would not be helping you. It may hint at a need for forthrightness and more give and take with those around you, so that you can move forward.
Bottom Line: The end of a dream often contains a suggestion about how to proceed. Trying to find a doctor who will work with you despite the limitations tells you to keep looking for solutions and finding someone, like a counselor, to work with. At the same time, since you are in a waiting room, it suggests you need to be patient.
