Dragon Tattoo Dream
I Want a Dragon Tattoo
I wanted a dragon tattoo but I had to go into my old childhood home to get something first. While I was in my childhood home, I noticed water falling from the ceilings and ruining the house. A contractor came in and pulled the ceilings down and we discovered rooms that I didn't know existed. In one of those rooms we saw a huge rat. I kept trying to talk to the contractor but friends kept interrupting, which annoyed me. During all this, I was distracted, looking for the thing I had gone into the house to get, in the first place.
Main Life Issues:
My kids struggling with their relationships, with their kids.
Annoyed, confused, out of control.
Someone is on a journey for something special, finds new spaces but also new problems, and is bombarded by unwanted interruptions.
Dragon Tattoo: Thanks to the movie and book "Girl With A Dragon Tattoo", a dragon tattoo is now a powerful symbol associated with empowerment and a powerful woman, who is the heroine of the story. As a metaphor, it suggests power achieved through pain and struggle.
Ceilings: The head, brain. Leaks in ceilings can suggest a lot of emotions and emotional reactions that are out of control, which sounds like the family situations around you.
New Rooms: New horizons, opportunities, changes in lifestyles.
Rat: Negative attitudes or intrusive circumstances.
What it Means:
The dream is a review of where you are at and where you want to be. You want to be empowered as you explore new horizons in your older years, as you go into your sixties. However, before you begin a new journey of strength and empowerment, there are obstacles. The unwanted interruptions suggests either a need to simplify your life or to eliminate situations that don't add to your fulfillment. It can also hint at a need for quiet time to become more in tune with yourself.
Bottom Line: The dream suggests a desire to feel empowered. Because of the reference to your childhood home, the dream suggests you may have felt such an empowerment in earlier years, or had to overcome a lot of obstacles earlier in your life, to get the strength you have now. The same may be true for your children - solving their own problems will bring them strength and wisdom, as happened for you.
