NIGHTMARES AND DREAMS THAT FRIGHTEN AND SCARE. Example Dreams of Nightmares and Scary, Frightening Dreams and What They Mean
Attacked By an Eagle
I dreamed of an eagle chasing and trying to bite me.
What the Dream Means:
An "eagle" is usually a positive image, of something wise and skilled. It is an American Icon. But being chased by something often relates to feeling vulnerable. '
The dream is likely pointing out that someone around you (it can be a family member or a friend) makes you feel "attacked" and vulnerable. Words people say can make us feel attacked and can be "biting". If someone is making you feel that way, depending on your age, you can discuss it with someone you trust and see if they can give you hints on "words to say back" to some who does that. Remember that if you respond in a way that is calm and say something back, you can often stop people from acting in ways you don't like. If nothing else, one can say: "That sounds terrible, what do you mean?" Best, though, is to ask a loved one about it.
Attacked by Birds
My niece had a dream about a flock of demonic birds attacking her. She’s three years old.
What the Dream Means:
It sounds as if something around her is frightening her, in real life. She may be a sensitive child, and something is scary to her. It does not mean it is something "very serious", like someone who would hurt her. It can be friends or family, for example, who are not gentle with her, or something like that. Or she may feel overwhelmed when going into crowds, such as at a shopping center. Some nightmares are normal for children, reflecting their fears and sensitivities. Just be there for her, give her the example of your caring and strength, and she will come through these things just fine.
