STORIES TO SLEEP BY

Presleep Stories to Restore Normal Sleep
Origin of Presleep Stories For Combat Vets                                       BUY NOW

These stories for combat vets were created by Michaels as a sleep aid while getting degrees in psychology. Researching the lack of sleep in combat vets, Michaels discovered that during combat, soldiers can get a “pre-sleep suggestion” that breaks up sleep. Even if by accident, once such commands enter the brain, they act like a hypnotic suggestion and are removed only by replacing with a new command.

Symptoms of Disturbed Sleep

Natural sleep rhythm is no longer in gear when there are nightmares, insomnia or being unable to fall asleep without sleep aids. You may find yourself in a state of constant alert, stress or tension, and cannot relax enough to fall asleep naturally.

Stories Used in Research

During three years research at a Veterans Administration Hospital, several hundred combat vets listened to these stories and rated them. Because sleep and how the brain controls sleep is complex, nothing can “guarantee” a result. Depending on history, motivation and experience, sleep patterns can change quickly or slowly, or can linger for years. However, many who listened to Stories to Sleep By for one to three months reported improved sleep or a return to normal sleep.

Like a ball rolling down a hill, the sleep mechanism may need a push in the right direction and restart normal sleep. Stories to Sleep By are designed to give the brain a boost in the right direction and help restore normal, natural sleep. They are safe, something you can do on your own, easy to use, and worth a try.

Instructions

When ready to fall asleep, listen to at least one story from start to finish. If still awake, you can go ahead and listen to all the stories if you want to. It is okay to replay several times or through the night. Repetition won’t hurt.

It does not matter if you do not pay attention while you listen. You can zone in or out or even doze off. As long as the stories fall on the ears as you are falling asleep, the stories will do their job.

It is important to listen to at least one story every night for thirty to ninety nights. It can take one to three months for sleep patterns to change. Being persistent and consistent will serve you well.
