Re-experiencing Past Love
The Love of My Life In My Youth
I dreamed of my ex boyfriend from early teenage years as my current partner slept in another room. The dream was so real and I was so happy. My past lover was passionate and showed me how much fun I once had with the ex. We kissed, made love, watched a band play music, smiled, laughed and enjoyed each other’s company, so much.
After the dream I just wanted to talk to him, it felt so good; I remembered that it was fifteen years ago, when I was only 19.
Main Life Issues:
Don't feel intimately close to my partner.
It's a story of a memory of two people who connect at all levels, which brings happiness.
Ex boyfriend: Symbol of someone who loved you.
Early teenage years: Time of high hopes and few restrictions.
Seeing passionate exchanges: Reliving successful passion, recalling what true passion is like.
Kissed, made love: Actual passion; symbol of intimacy.
How much fun I/we had: Rekindling a desire for something that once felt uplifting and mutually satisfying.
Watching a band play music: Sharing social, fun activities.
What it Means:
The dream shows you the contrast between where you are at in your relationship and what you’ like it to be. It is not an invitation to find your ex boyfriend, though the thought may be tempting. By seeing the difference of where you’re at to where you want to be, the dream is inviting you to create a new goal – to make your own relationship that good.
Bottom Line: All relationships can get stale, life is about growth and change. Only you can decide whether to revive what’s there or to choose to move along. Eventually most couples reach a wall which can become an ending or a stepping stone to a new paradise together.
So true, it’s how I feel. I'm missing this in my relationship and want the same passion I had with my ex. We are only as young as we feel; many thanks.
