Grimm Reaper Catches Me
Forcefully Taken By the Grimm Reaper
I saw myself in the mirror wearing all white, like a lab gown, and had so much fear because I was seeing myself in the mirror dead but couldn't stop watching. I heard a lot of people laughing as if they were devils and the grim reaper was beside me.
A woman asks me to come with her; I refuse and cannot move or do anything, not even shout. She takes my hand and I wonder what will happen to me. I struggle and I try to get away; little by little I can move my head but tire easily. I shout but no sound comes out; I try to move but can’t. Then I pinch my face and slap it and feel a little sensation. Finally I can move my head and wake up, feeling fear.
After waking up I asked myself what would happen if the grim reaper actually came by, and I’d go to hell? I felt very sinful and fearful.
Strange, heavy fear.
Main Life Issues:
Unhappy work place, rumors about colleagues, have cardiomyopathy, am away from my only son.
Someone in the grip of something evil fears for their safety and soul.
Death: Change, generally a large change.
Grim Reaper: An invitation to change.
In another’s grip: What traps you, holds you back.
What it Means:
The dream is a mirror about the many fears you have in your life. It tells you that you are letting anxieties get out of control which is makes life feel out of control. The dream is an invitation to assess how your level of fear and anxiety and to do something about it.
The fact that you felt very sinful as you woke suggests religion is a major factor in your life, but in a guilt-producing way, instead of a coping tool. Perhaps a kinder version of spirituality would be more beneficial. Most people make mistakes and most religions portray a loving, forgiving Deity.
Bottom Line: Your fearful emotional state is undermining your ability to live in a full and happy way. Life can be messy and hard but how you react and cope is more important than what is happening. At this time, your reactions are out of kilter. Realize that others have gone through the same trials and tribulations; find coping tools and get back on track.
