Free and Professional Dream Analysis and What Dreams Mean
No One Hears Me
Unable to Speak Out
In the art world it is disappointing that recognition and gallery promotion is fuelled by celebrity. Even though someone can paint like a photo in realism style, other types of artists are just as good. That was what I was thinking before I this dream.
I dreamed a particular artist was trying to possess my mind, his big head was standing over my head. I was calling out to my mother from my bed but no sound came out no matter how hard I tried. I became terrified as I struggled to speak and get my voice out.
Main Life Issues:
I just fractured my shoulder and worry about being successful as an artist. Many know how to play the game by networking with people of influence instead of ability but I am not a butt kisser.
Someone tries to stay in control and do things their own way.
Artist who networks: Person with opposite traits of dreamer.
Big head: Symbolizes dreamer’s feeling that those with different point of view are arrogant.
Trying to take over my mind: Concepts dreamer struggles with.
Calling to mother for help: Reaching out for support; looking for nurturing and help from loved ones.
Voice does not come out: Can’t express self; not feeling heard.
Struggle to speak: Urgent need to express self and communicate.
What the dream Means:
The dream depicts a battle between extremes views, namely, artists who network and promote themselves versus those who let their artistic work speak for itself. You feel as if those who promote themselves are sort of cheating.
Extremes in a dream generally indicate a need for balance and finding the middle ground. As you try to speak out, the dream shows that you want success and want your artistic talents recognized but your high standards keep you silent.
The dream invites you to find a middle ground. Instead of the extreme stance of “I will not never network or promote myself”, it invites you to stay true to quality self-expression yet relate to people and accept their help so that your work can be seen.
Bottom Line: No man is an island. Unless you’d like to be discovered as an artist only after your death, your dream steers you to be less polarized in your thinking and find a middle ground. Whatever one’s profession and goals, others are involved.
Thank you very much.
