Young Son Needs My Help
Defending My Young Son
I saw my son younger than he is now; he was a toddler again and I was worried he’d get hurt playing with two rough kids next door. I heard my son crying but could not find him. I was mad at my son’s father and then at my current boyfriend; I was yelling, asking my dead grandparents to kick them out. My boyfriend was shooting darts at me then tried to run away; I was yelling at my dad to stop him and wanted to hurt him back.
Panicked, scared, hurt afterwards.
It’s a story about defending something tender and precious that is important to you, and trying to enlist the help of reliable men and people in your life to accomplish that.
Son as toddler: Someone in a tender state; being vulnerable.
Shouting for help: Standing up for yourself.
Grandparents, father: Loved ones you rely on for help.
What it Means:
The dream is a message about self assertion and protecting yourself. Your son represents your current vulnerability; life may have thrown many challenges at you lately, so you are mobilizing all the strength you can find in yourself, to handle it. The dream also points out issues of anger and feeling hurt that you need to deal with.
Bottom Line: The dream shows you standing up for yourself, almost like a practice session; it tells you that you have the resources to handle whatever crosses your path.
