Attacked by a Police Dog
Police Dog Wanted To Attack Me
I dreamed I was standing with my two small kids, ages five and two and see a big police dog coming through. It looked threatening. I aimed at it, thinking to attack it back, if it tried to attack us. It growled then stopped in its tracks where it was standing. After a while it came back, barking and tying to get closer to where we were, but ended up not coming close.
Scared but in control.
Main Life Issues:
Currently church politics.
Facing a threat, someone makes a plan of how to protect vulnerable loved ones but does not need to use it and all is safe.
Growling: Acting aggressive, threatening.
Young children: Those who are helpless, those we care for.
Police dog: Creature in the service of the law, enforcement of law, a metaphor for a legal issue that in this case feels threatening.
Aiming at a target: A strategy, having a plan.
Something stops: An ending; in this case, a threat is rebuffed.
Barking: An unpleasant noise, getting attention in a negative way.
What the dream Means:
Dreams often exaggerate to make a point. The dream is a heads up about a challenge such as a disagreement. The growling dog can represent someone who may be verbally aggressive, dominating, and trying to get their way. Since it is a police dog, a legal aspect or doing something "the correct way" may be at issue, and may feel daunting or threatening.
Bottom Line: The end of a dream often shows the outcome. In this case, the aggressor backs down, so you win your point and get your way.
