Baby Is Still Alive
Baby Lives But Should Have Died
In the dream, I was given a baby to take care of; it was a good size, maybe five months old and very adorable. I put the baby in an open closet a papoose, how Indians carried a baby; the papoose was hanging in the closet. I was supposed to come right back in a couple minutes to get her out of there but didn't because I got held up. I come back two or three days later, I’m very late, to get the baby out of the closet and get help for her, but before I can get her out of the room, she gets sick. I was so worried and shocked she was still alive.
Scared, hurt, shocked, glad, worried.
Main Life Issues:
Family problems, financial issues, lack of support, lonely.
Someone comes close to messing up because of unintended neglect, and though there is something to fix, all turns out okay.
Adorable Baby: Something new and beautiful, can be a metaphor for a talent or new career option; symbol of what needs care and attention.
Open Closet: A storage place.
Papoose: A vehicle to carry something, what one shoulders; a weight that is not a burden.
Supposed to come right back but didn’t: Not living up to a promise or responsibility; getting distracted from what is urgent or important.
Very late: Not meeting deadlines; not focusing on priorities.
Shocked baby still alive: Surprised all is not destroyed; amazed at having a second chance after messing up.
What it Means:
The story suggests there is a responsibility, project or talent that needs your attention, which, despite good intentions, you have put aside. By the time you turn your attention back to it, there are fears that it may be too late, yet it turns out okay.
Bottom Line: At age nineteen, there can be a lot of anxiety about succeeding in life, especially when conditions are challenging. The dream tells you that despite challenges, your life will progress. However, it is also a heads up not to neglect important talents or responsibilities such as studies or training etc. Despite challenges around you, don’t put your own needs and life on hold.
