Free and Professional Dream Analysis and What Dreams Mean
Saw my dead father
I saw myself coming back from work and going into a different house than mine. As soon as I stepped inside, I saw my father sitting on the stairs. He had tears in his eyes as he looked at me and I started crying, too. My dad never used to cry, he is the most fearless person I knew. He died a couple of years ago.
I felt his presence and felt helplessness.
Main Life Issues:
Separation from my husband and my father's murder.
Someone deeply reconnects with a loved one.
Coming home from work: Putting normal chores aside.
An unfamiliar house: A new location, new horizons; in this case, a place where one can connect with loved ones who have died.
Stairs: Stairs as a metaphor for what is above, like heaven, where deceased loved ones go.
A teardrop: An expression of deep feelings.
Gazing at me: A connection; the eyes as the window of the soul, and as such, a soul connection.
Fearless, courageous: Someone who is an example of how to meet difficult circumstances, such as dreamer is experiencing.
What the dream Means:
Some dreams are not dreams, they are actual experiences that you remember as a dream because a dream is the only form of memory while asleep. Many believe the soul lives on and a person can at times visit.
Though your dad left in a tragic way, the teardrop showed happiness as he reconnected with you. He wants you to know that he lives on and still loves you, and wants you to be okay. The visit was likely also a reminder of the example he passed on, of being fearless, traits you need now to handle a difficult situation.
Bottom Line: Life goes on and love is eternal. Cherish your father’s visit and carry his strength into your life.
