Dreams about Love, Marriage, and Relationships
CHEATING HUSBAND—THE DREAM:I dreamed my husband was sleeping with another woman. We were in the same house but in different rooms, and I thought he had left to go to the store. But when I go into a bedroom, I see he is in bed with a woman. I look out the window I see three white rabbits; even though they look dead or cold, I knew they were sleeping. I turn back to my husband and though I was hurt, I tell him that if he wants to cheat, go ahead. He does cheat and has sex with her; afterward, I tell him we can’t be together and I’ll have divorce papers for him tomorrow.FELT HOW: Felt a lot of hurt but stayed calm.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Husband works a lot; he's never affectionate and we don't have sex much. STORY LINE: Someone confronts another who is unfaithful, confirms it, and ends the relationship.SYMBOLS:Rabbits: Cuddly creatures; also symbol of being sexy (breed a lot).Thought he left to go to store: Thought someone has legitimate reason to be away.In bed with another woman, not at store: Husband not where he was supposed to be.Sleeping but not dead: Something appears gone but is only on hold.Saying the Words--"Will have divorce papers tomorrow:" Issuing an ultimatum; knowing where one stands on an issue.WHAT IT MEANS:It is said that we pre-dream everything important that happens. Because you say your husband is not around a lot and is not close to you, what is going on with him may be on your mind and dreams address what is on your mind. An important feature of the dream is the spoken words; when words are spoken in a dream, they tend to convey a literal truth. The dream suggests that he is cheating. The ending hints that by taking the intiative to confront what is going on, you can maintain your self-respect. Rabbits are cute, cuddly, and sexy. You may have felt unattractive lately because your husband does not want you. The rabbits in the dream tell you that passion will come back around, you have still got it. However, it may be with someone new who appreciates you and stays faithful. BOTTOM LINE: Dreams answer questions on your mind and in this case, the answer is clear.
CONFUSED ABOUT DATING—THE DREAM:The dream takes place in a house where I’m talking to a guy who is a stranger and his fiancée is there with him. In the next scene, the guy and I make out even though his fiancée is in the house. Then my ex boyfriend texts me and says he misses me. Words “blow out of proportion”: Making something more important than it is; overreacting. The words “I knew you'd blow it out of proportion” suggest that you overreact and think someone cares even if they don't, hinting at desperation and lack of self esteem. To create a good relationship, strengthen your self-esteem.BOTTOM LINE: The dream invites you to make room for someone who can love you and not merely use you. Start by loving yourself. When you love and respect yourself, others will, too.
DOES HE LOVE ME? —THE DREAM: Me, a man I like and my mom are in a car. My mom is driving and the man I really like is in the passenger seat, and I am sitting behind him in the back seat. Saying "I love you": A declaration of positive feelings.Someone is sleepy: Being partially aware, not plugged in to what is going on.WHAT IT MEANS:Words spoken in a dream either tend to be literal or hold a large part of the message. These words of the man in your life tell you that he cares, but also that his feelings are yet been defined in his head. Keep doing whatever you are doing, until he figures it out and his brain catches up to his feelings. When that happens, he will be able to declare his love.BOTTOM LINE: It takes men longer than women to name their feelings, even though they are experiencing them. If you like this man, you’re on the right track. He does love you. Give him time to realize it on his own, and meantime, let things be.
FINDING MY SOUL MATE—THE DREAM: There was a hot stove in the kitchen that would not turn off. I had to get out fast, but first I had to grab all my important papers, my Twilight books and movies and a few Wiccan books including two elaborately decorated old spell books. Just as the ceiling was about to cave in, a werewolf saved me. Everyone but me was scared of him, I recognized his soul from a previous lifetime. He asked me why I was not afraid. I said: "I recognize your soul from another life time and do not fear you, I love you," and at that moment, he remembered our past lives. My father, my daughter, my werewolf soul mate and I went to an apartment building for safety, which was to be our new home. I told my father to watch my daughter and send her to school in the morning while I went to the apartment next door to be with my werewolf lover. Just when he was about to shift into his human form to kiss me, I awoke, still feeling the extreme joy of finding my soul mate and finally being able to love one another.I have many dreams involving this kindred soul and yearn to make it a reality. In other dreams we were in other lifetimes and either killed for being with one another and not knowing what life would have been like together or forbidden from seeing each another.STORY LINE: On the brink of disaster someone is saved and finds true love.FELT HOW: Extreme joy. However, it does not say when though at times dreams leave clues about the timing. For example, your daughter is still in school in the dream so it could be next week or next year. With that dream, you are one of the lucky ones who will find true love and recognize each other at some deep emotional level.BOTTOM LINE: Take heart and hang on to the promise given to you by your own soul in this dream.
GROOM DOES NOT TURN UP FOR WEDDING—THE DREAM: My Muslim wedding is about to take place with my boyfriend of nine years. I am waiting for him. I phone my boyfriend to check what’s going on but he either doesn't pick up or cuts off the call. In the back of my mind, I am aware that my boyfriend already told me he might be busy and that the wedding might happen later. I am not angry at all about the delay. In fact, I understand his position and accept the fact that the wedding is not happening that day. Many marry by their mid-twenties, but for you it will happen a later.BOTTOM LINE: The dream does not say when or who, but it does say you will marry at a later time.

It sounds as though your heart may understand what he’s going through and wants to reach out to him to help him. Because you feel sympathy for him, you may be able to help him heal or take steps he needs toward healing. Sometimes all it takes is being around someone who understands. It's not what you say, it can be just allowing him to feel safe and doing things together. For example, could he help with house repairs? Anything that gets him involved in doing things and being around people who care, can bring healing.BOTTOM LINE: The dream sounds like an invitation from your inner self to help this young man. Get him to do some activities or be around people in a way that feels safe for him.
CHEATING HUSBAND—THE DREAM: I've had recurring dreams about my husband cheating on me. Last night I dreamed my husband and I went to a girl's house and they left together, and I found them in the bathroom together. I thought they were having sex but when I opened the door, he was holding their baby and seemed really happy about the baby. When I threw a fit, everyone looked at me as if I was the bad guy. I wanted him to leave the house and take a paternity test. He seemed certain it was his baby, and everyone else was certain, except for me.FELT HOW: Angry, hurt and frustrated.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Our marriage is kind of rocky. A New Baby: Something new and long term.A paternity test: A way to determine what is really going on and check who is responsible for what has happened. In this dream, a metaphor that tells the dream she needs to check things out before drawing conclusions. WHAT IT MEANS:The dream could mean one of two things. A recurring dream can be an ESP warning that he may be cheating. In this case, the baby may be a reality or can be a symbol of a commitment he has developed for another woman. Or, the dream can be a parable about how bad things are, as a reality check. In this case, the message is about facing what is going on, and exploring your options. If you have been ignoring the situation and not acting, the dream invites you to face the facts and communicate, instead of fighting. It suggests that one way or another, you would really like to know what is going on in the relationship and avoiding the issue won't get you answers. BOTTOM LINE: Recurring dreams occur when an urgent message is trying to get through. Facing the truth, communicating, and taking action may be difficult, but sounds like the road to take.
THE MAN OF MY DREAMS—THE DREAM: I have constant dreams about the man of my dreams I dreamed about this man about ten times this year. I’ve never talked to him but know who he is; I am friends with his brother who wanted to introduce us, but I declined. In my dreams, my friend’s brother is always helping me. When I'm sad he appears in my dream and consoles me; he holds my hand, makes me smile and sleeps beside me and helps me make important decisions. When I was in a relationship with another man, I still kept dreaming about him. I know his voice, his touch, his smile, his eyes, his presence. Two nights ago, I dreamed he was very sick and it was my turn to help him. Then he kissed me and disappeared. I looked for him everywhere and felt such great loss and confusion.Last night I dreamed of him, heard his name and his voice; I cannot remember the dream except for a masculine voice that said, "Your souls are intertwined".FELT HOW: Unbelievably happy when I wake up.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Family and financial issues; looking for a mate.STORY LINE: Someone makes a connection that means a lot. WHAT THE DREAM MEANS: Your dreams are stories of a connection that deepens over time and means a lot to both parties. We pre-dream everything of importance that happens to us, so such a connection will happen. It may be time to let your friend introduce you to his brother. What stops you? However, your friend’s brother may act as a symbol for another man you are meant to meet, someone who will be right for you. Since the friend’s brother is a central character, you may meet the man of your dreams by being introduced by a friend.BOTTOM LINE: These dreams confirm that true love is in your future and suggest that you also have to do your part for it to unfold. Whatever has kept you from being introduced to the actual brother of your friend, remember that it’s not the outer package that counts; the best relationships happen when the man’s heart is made of gold and loves to please the woman. Looks wear out; hearts of gold do not.
I MEET A MARRIED MAN’S WIFE—THE DREAM:Had a dream about a man I fell for in the past, a man who is married who I no longer speak with; I ended the friendship. Suddenly she and her husband were fighting. She wanted to leave me alone with her husband whom I love. I stopped her and said life is too short and made them make up. He asked me why I would want her to stay but I didn't want to be alone with him. I told him I felt bad because she is a nice lady. Shortly after his friends arrived and saying how beautiful I was.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Can't get over this guy.STORY LINE: Someone does the right thing for the right reason and even though they are criticized, others acknowledge the beauty of the act.SYMBOL: Words, “You are beautiful”: The saying goes: “Beauty is as beauty does.” Taking the high road of integrity keeps you beautiful.WHAT IT MEANS:The dream is a message from your soul telling you it is important to stay away from him and that the correct path is the one you chose—not to get involved with him. That is the path to true beauty of the soul, the beauty mentioned by friends in the dream. It may not feel good to walk away, but you know there are no free rides and such involvements can get very messy. BOTTOM LINE: Walk away. By letting your go of your feelings for that man you will make room for true love to enter your life. I AM GETTING MARRIED—THE DREAM: I dreamed two times that I am getting married, both times with the same dress, location, and man. One was a longer dream with more details but both start at the alter gazing in each others’ eyes with love. The second dream extended into a celebration afterward. Since the celebration arrives at the end of the dream, it speaks of good fortune or a happy ending to a problem. WHAT IT MEANS: These dreams portray a happy commitment. You pre-dream everything of importance that happens to you. If you are single, the dreams point to meeting someone who will be a genuine love relationship. Being at an altar portrays a blessing right from the start of the union. If you are married, the new commitment can relate to a new job or a circumstance that allows you to earn more, which would ease your financial concerns. BOTTOM LINE: The dream predicts a happy relationship or commitment and hints that you have much to look forward to that will make you happy. A person you know: Can represent the actual person or symbolize another who has the same traits as the person portrayed.Attached: What links two items or people; metaphor for how one thing can lead to another, as in the potential for romance. WHAT THE DREAM MEANS:The dream is a heads up that someone has an interest in you and if you follow up on it, it can lead to romance. Since you know the person shown in the dream, it may be that actual person. However, at times a character in a dream represents someone else with similar qualities, so don’t jump to conclusions.BOTTOM LINE: This dream portrays a potential love connection, but let time and circumstances verify who the suitor is.

Such a dream can be a heads up about an actual loss, yet that is not likely the case in this dream. Your dad is a symbol of a man who once loved and supported you but no longer does, pointing to a husband who no longer cares for you. The dream registers a psychological turning of accepting that the relationship may be over. It depicts the loss of closeness with your husband as a death, and possibly of the relationship itself.BOTTOM LINE: The dream mirrors your acceptance about the state of your marriage, hinting that it has reached a major turning point. What you do with that realization is up to you. I LIE ABOUT GETTING MARRIED—THE DREAM: Seven years ago, when I was turning 30, I dreamed I lied to my family that there was a man who was going to marry me. So, on that day I put my wedding dress on and was sitting in my room as if I'm waiting for the groom to arrive. At one point I pretend I’m speaking with him on the phone, asking where he was. My mother was cooking the wedding feast, my sisters were aloof and my father was busy with preparations. There was a tent in our yard for the guests, and I spot two familiar faces as I peep through the window. One was a guy I dated two years before and the other was a guy who was my friend who I happened to date toward the end of that same year. Now I am 37, unmarried, not in a relationship, with no hope of a relationship. The dream is coming back with intensity.FELT HOW: Scared and nervous.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Unlucky in life and in love. Peep through window: Looking at what is; seeing what one can. Guys I dated: Potential suitors who did not turn out to be marriage partners.WHAT IT MEANS:The dream is returning for two reasons. One is to remind you that you do actually want to get married, so the dream is urging you not to give up. These days you can meet someone at any age, so why are you telling yourself there is no hope? The second reason is that the dream is suggesting that, if you don’t give up, you will meet someone and marry. The dream comes to prepare you and give you a heads up so that you can be ready for a change in life.BOTTOM LINE: Dust off negative attitudes and look around. Take steps to get out and meet a nice man, for a wedding is possible.

Since this is someone you really care about, the dream tells you the day will arrive when he will do just that – say he loves you. In the meantime, don’t jump the gun. Let the relationship unfold naturally and allow him time to come to the realization that he loves you at his own pace and style.BOTTOM LINE: You have had a glimpse of where the relationship is heading, but he may not be there, just yet. Don’t mess up by trying to rush it. Instead, enjoy the journey. SLEEPING ON A WHITE BED—THE DREAM: I dreamed that me and my ex boyfriend, who is the father of my son, were sleeping on a bed with pure white bedding.FELT HOW: I was calm. However, it does not indicate that you will restart a love relationship with him. However, if you are on your own, the dream is likely also be a heads up that you will get a fresh start in love, as a message about a new man in your life. BOTTOM LINE: Because you felt calm, the new relationship will be a good one.
WAVING TO A FRIEND—THE DREAM: I saw my friend across the road standing at a bus stop. When he saw me, he waved over at me. He smiled then blew me a kiss. I waved back, smiled and blew a kiss back. WHAT THE DREAM MEANS:The dream tells you that you will meet someone you will like, but it is not the man portrayed in the dream, so the person in the dream will not be your future husband. Often someone we know appears as a symbol in a dream, in this case, representing someone special in your future. The dream does not say when, but it tells you someone will be attracted to you and will let you know it, and it will be someone you like.BOTTOM LINE: The dream forecasts a new relationship in your future, but not the actual person portrayed in the dream.
GETTING MARRIED—THE DREAM: I was getting married in a gorgeous white dress and all of my family was there. The groom was an old friend who did not show up until the last couple of minutes. MY WEDDING DAY—THE DREAM: I dreamed I was getting married. I was with friends, walking to the ceremony with my girlfriend while brushing my teeth with a yellow toothbrush. We arrive at a huge house and were told by the pastor to wait outside for the groom; the door was shut. We waited outside; I gave the toothbrush to my girlfriend. I was wearing a short wedding dress. All of the sudden an ex-boyfriend appears with a Christian hymn book and starts singing and all the people join in. The door is closed: A closed door hints it is not time to marry.Christian hymn book: Look to one’s faith, beliefs, for what is true.Words “might not see each other again”: A relationship does not come together; a union that does not take place. WHAT THE DREAM MEANS:Even though you want to marry, this dream shows the time has not arrived. If you are dating someone, the dream hints the person is not “marriage material” and is not the one you will end up with. The dream does say you will NOT marry; it only suggests it is not yet the time. The right conditions are not in place.BOTTOM LINE: Wait for a dream that shows a groom at the alter waiting for you, or a ring on your finger, or some such. Also a metaphor for what is no longer fresh and appealing. However, if you keep dried flowers as a keepsake (such as pressed flowers in a book), they can be a metaphor of memories related to love and to what one cherishes. WHAT IT MEANS:It's a story about a couple viewing something that was once beautiful but is no longer so. The wilted flowers sound like a metaphor for a slow ending and a slow demise of your relationship, as something that no longer works. In real life you feel suspicious of your husband, so the dream may reflect your fears the that relationship has dried up, from your husband’s point of view. Or, it may mirror how you actually feel about the relationship. BOTTOM LINE: This dream depicts the current situation between you and your husband, or your fears about the current state of the relationship. However, the future depends on the choices you both make such being willing to communicate, airing what you both think and feel, telling the truth about what you need and want, and seeing where that takes you.

Husband does not show emotions: Inability to show feelings, not knowing how to express emotions. WHAT IT MEANS:Dreams tend to show what is true. No matter what confusion your husband is going through in real life, the dream suggests that he loves you. Does that guarantee the marriage will survive? Only time can tell. However, with this dream, being patient and not reacting may be a good idea; such periods of confusion can pass.If a man has a crisis in other areas such as career, his unexpressed emotions can spill over into other areas such as his relationship with you. He may not be able to unravel the difference between love and feeling appreciated in the world for talents.BOTTOM LINE: The dreams hints to be patient with your husband. You might try connecting him to activities where he can be appreciated; sometimes that can help.
CONFUSED ABOUT DATING—THE DREAM:The dream takes place in a house where I’m talking to a guy who is a stranger and his fiancée is there with him.
