Lucid Dreams: A Dream in which You Know You Are Dreaming

WAKING UP IN DIFFERENT HOUSES—THE DREAM: I dreamed I was sleeping and trying to wake up. In the dream, I woke up and was in a different house and asked my neighbor to help me. She slaps me and I go back to sleep. That happens several times and each time I wake up I am in a different house until finally I actually woke up.FELT HOW: Anxious.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Work. STORY LINE: It’s a story of constant change regarding where you are at.SYMBOLS:House: One’s safe place, stability, where one spends time. In different houses: Always on the move, not settled.Trying to awaken: Trying to be aware of what is going on.Neighbor: Someone near by, whoever is close by. WHAT IT MEANS:When you dream and you know you are dreaming, it is called a Lucid Dream. A lucid dream heralds an important message. Though you may be seeking stability and want things to stay the same, the dream speaks of continuous change. It says there are many changes ahead, whether at work or other parts of life; the dream comes to prepare you for those changes. That does not mean changes will happen quickly; it can take a few years for all to unfold and happens naturally.BOTTOM LINE: The dream invites you to accept change as a normal part of life. Think about what you want and then let a new future unfold. MY DEAD GREAT GRANDMOTHER APPEARS IN A DREAM—THE DREAM: I dreamed I was talking to my mother about how my great-grandma wanted to do something but couldn’t and was telling my mom that "It was her right" to do so. Then I saw my great-grandmother walking down a hill and a loving, playful voice called out her name, twice. In the next scene I was looking in my bedroom mirror and as I closely examine my face, I see and feel my great-grandma's face in me. Throughout the dream I knew I was sleeping and that it was only a dream. Knowing that I was dreaming, I tried to sleep longer so I could keep dreaming and dreamed I was sleeping in and by the time I was waking it was one o’clock in the afternoon. But in real life it was nine in the morning when I woke.FELT HOW: Overwhelmed. MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Unable to trust after bad breakup, searching for myself.STORY LINE: Someone sees images of a loved one interweaving with their own. SYMBOLS:Wanted to do something but could not: Limitations that prevent fulfillment which mirrors how dreamer feels restricted in life.Great grandmother: Actual person and symbol of someone who has a right to her own life. Playful voice called out her name: Reaching out in a loving way.Mirror: Observing self, looking inward.Overlapping faces: Qualities and traits of both people merge into one; a message to take on grandmother’s qualities.Tried to sleep longer: Wanting to soak up grandmother’s strength.WHAT IT MEANS:A Lucid Dream is when you dream and are aware that you are dreaming. A Lucid Dream presents an opportunity to heal or for psychological development. The dream suggests you admire your great grandmother’s qualities of independence and her wish to fulfill her own destiny and hints that you have those qualities. The dream is an encouragement to become independent and lead your own life. When you say in the dream that “it was her right” to do what she wanted, you are giving yourself the advice and permission to follow your dreams. BOTTOM LINE: Listen to your inner voice and create the life you want.
I WATCH MYSELF SLEEP ON A SNOWY NIGHT—THE DREAM: In the dream I was alone, walking late at night down my street to my house. It was dark, darker than usual. It was snowing and I remember a lamppost outside my house; for some reason the lamppost stood out! I walk into my house and go up the stairs into my room and there I was, sleeping. I stood over myself in the dream then, while still sleeping, watched myself wake up, turn around, and stare at myself!FELT HOW: Interested, scared and worried.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Just broke up with my girlfriend.STORY LINE: It’s a story of being fascinated by a light (lamppost) and becoming aware while dreaming. SYMBOLS:Snowing: White as fresh and new, a spiritual color of purity.Dark, darker than usual: The unknown, new unexplored territory. Lamppost: Light coming from an ancient source, a link to tradition.Go up stairs: Gaining a higher perspective; up as positive direction.Watching self sleep in dream: Notice self in unaware state.Watching self wake in dream: See self enter an aware state.Stare at self: Taking a good look at oneself; studying self.WHAT IT MEANS:A Lucid Dream is when you are dreaming and you realize you are dreaming. It is considered a higher level of awareness that can link you to the soul as an awakening of soul and spirit. The purpose of a lucid dream is not to carry out tricks and feats while asleep such as flying, which books describe. The goal is to remain aware and get close to a source of light, which in this dream, is the lamppost. God is the Source of light and love. If you can approach the light without waking up, you can have a deep spiritual experience. It sounds as if the break up with your girlfriend made you question life and self, which brought a deeper soul connection and this lucid dream. It's all good. BOTTOM LINE: The dream tells you to explore your spiritual side. There is nothing to fear.
A DREAM ABOUT BEING IN A DREAM—THE DREAM: I was dreaming that I was telling a person in my dream about the dream I had been dreaming. FELT HOW: I wondered what it meant.STORY LINE: Someone communicates something unusual in an unusual way.SYMBOLS:Lucid Dream: A Lucid Dream is when you are actually dreaming and during the dream, you realize you are dreaming. It is a heightened state of awareness during which, if the dreamer can maintain the state and, there can be spiritual progress or emotional, psychological or physical healing.Person in a dream: A person in a dream can refer to an actual person though sometimes a person is a symbol for someone else or just a metaphor for anybody or people in general.Telling someone something: Sharing; a close communication.Telling someone my dream: Sharing something that one rarely shares; an unusual communication.Dreaming that you are dreaming: When you are dreaming and realize during the dream that you’re dreaming, that is called a Lucid Dream. A lucid dream is a high level of awareness in the dream state during which emotional or spiritual progress can take place. Question marks: Wanting an answer; what leaves you puzzled.WHAT IT MEANS: With a dream that focuses on dreaming, your soul appears to suggest that you pay attention to dream messages. BOTTOM LINE: Dreams are an inner counselor and messages from the soul, as practical advice from your inner self. Make use of it.
I KNOW I AM DREAMING—THE DREAM: In my dream I see I am dreaming and it is the most wonderful dream of all. Everything in my life is falling into place, love, money and home life. In my dream I wake up and feel all refreshed and happy. About that time the alarm clock goes off and I wake up for real, and wonder which dream was which.FELT HOW: Happy, very happy.MAIN LIFE ISSUES: Alone and low income.STORY LINE: Someone finds love, happiness, and everything they need and want. SYMBOLS:Dream that you are dreaming: When you realize you are dreaming, that is called a Lucid dream. It is a mark of a communication by the soul and often brings healing and enlightenment.WHAT IT MEANS:This is the most fortunate kind of dream of twenty seven dream types as a message from the soul as an assurance your situation will change, though it does not say when or how. Your circumstances will change to what you see in the dream; you will find love and have all you need. BOTTOM LINE: Hold on to that special assurance.
