I Am Suffocating Nightmare
I had a really vivid nightmare where I was suffocating, except that it seemed I wasn't me, I wasn't a person, just a whirl of pulsing energy that I felt or identified as 'me'. I was being completely suffocated by a larger, denser, vibrating substance or energy that was over 'me'. It felt like I was observing all of this happening to 'me' from a distance.
Fear! Completely terrified!
Main Life Issues:
Purpose and existential crises.
Someone watches self overpowered and has difficulty breathing.
Suffocating: Unable to express oneself; can’t breathe.
I was a whirl of pulsating energy: Seeing self differently; seeing self as energy, a source of action and activity.
Suffocated by a larger energy: What overwhelms, overtakes; overshadowed and controlled; a need to find one’s strength.
Observing self from a distance: Examining self; seeing self from new and different perspective.
I wasn’t a person: Identity issues; figuring out who one is.
Pulsating energy: How one acts, one’s actions and activities.
What the dream Means:
Suffocating is a good metaphor for not being able to express yourself. Since you are having a crises about finding your purpose etc, the dream mirrors the intense feelings you feel as you try to understand who you are and your path in life. The dream suggests a need to find a path where you can express yourself and communicate.
To get dreams that help find a career or life path compatible with your talents and personality, try asking yourself a question before you go to sleep, such as: “What would be a good career track for me?” Dreams will answer any question that you ask sincerely.
Bottom Line: Be patient; it takes time to build a life and find one’s purpose.
That's great, thanks - it's useful. I will ask a question and see what happens!
